I will design your gardens to enhance and compliment the beauty and serenity of your home. These gardens will respect the integrity and charm of your property. They will provide year-round interest with seasonal beauty.

The design process includes a minimum of four visits to the site:

  1. On the initial visit, I get to know you and your property. Your garden is an extension of you, so we will work closely together in developing goals and themes for your design. We will discover the most important elements of your garden including, garden style, color preferences, time of day, seasons, maintenance schedule and lighting.
  2. On the second visit, I measure and photograph your property. I will study the area to discover its natural light and nuances.
  3. Halfway through the design process, we will meet again to share ideas about the plan and plant material, and discuss your options. At this meeting, we will review a sketch of your gardens and pictures of the proposed plants.
  4. During the fourth meeting, I will present you with a detailed watercolor painting that will visually illustrate your new gardens. The varieties and sizes of the planting material will be artistically revealed through scale, arrangement, and color. You will receive a list of recommended plants, and their quantities and sizes.
